Sizes · grades · forms · packs
- Face size
- 600 × 200 mm
- Thickness
- 100 · 150 · 200 mm
- Spec
- IS 2185-3; density grade 551–650 typical
- Billing
- Per block (or per CUM at volume)
Typical use cases
- Apartment infill walls — one AAC block replaces ~7 bricks with a third of the weight
- Fast-track interiors and office fit-outs
On-site best practices
- Use thin-bed block adhesive, not thick cement mortar — 3 mm joints are the point
- Provide RCC bands/sills per manufacturer spans; chase conduits with a router, not a chisel
- First course on conventional mortar, leveled dead flat — everything above follows it
Storage & handling
- Keep pallets wrapped and dry — AAC absorbs water and takes weeks to dry out
- Never dump loose; corner damage on AAC is scrap
Care & maintenance
- Let blocks air out to ambient moisture before plastering to avoid cracks
